BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE:

A National Logistics Company is seeking a Business Development Executive for their East London Branch to join their dynamic team.
The main function of the Business Development Executive is to promote and sell all service types and to ensure the Company meets the stipulated sales revenue budget by gaining of additional new business accounts. These clients must be in line with the Company requirements of the ideal client as detailed in the management strategy.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Identify business opportunities and gather information on transport expenditure
• Evaluate potential expenditure, decide/apply focus factors – Gold, silver or bronze
• Sell product/services – all
• Build relationships and create customer trust
• Identify customer’s service requirements by providing a quote for the correct Value service and close the deal
• Maintain relationship with the clients and ensure service supplied is relevant to the current customer requirement
• Ensure Value service levels are maintained according to standard operations procedure
• Ensure a high frequency of contact with business influences is maintained
• Maintain quality service is achieved by ensuring product knowledge are updated regularly
• Project Professional image at all times
• Adhere and enforce company policies and procedures
• Contribute to team by meeting expectations of team, optimal team work, support and assisting each other
• Meet budgets and goals
You will be travelling to regional East London areas (Umtata/Queenstown) as well as Sales meetings in Johannesburg from time to time. You must have a valid driver’s license, Matric and at least two years relevant experience with a proven track record.
Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 17h00.
